Remote conversations, on the other hand, are ideal for quick, efficient coordination in everyday life, so that you always remain easily accessible for the customer.”

“We are clearly committed to local expertise because, as a national debt collection agency, we know how crucial it is to understand the local legal and cultural conditions. We have tried centralised management, but working with strong local partners has proven to be much more efficient and effective.”

“For me, long-term partnerships are key because they are based on trust and continuity and enable us to develop tailor-made solutions. Nevertheless, when it comes to new partnerships and strategic issues, I also rely on my experience from around eight years in the debt collection industry—especially when no reliable data is (yet) available.”

“For me, dealing with mistakes in a constructive and transparent way is an important source of knowledge for improvements. I am transparent when communicating mistakes and, at the same time, clear and consistent in presenting corrective measures and the lessons learned. In the team, I encourage people to share their mistakes openly so that everyone can learn from them.”

Stress reduction:

Sports or relaxation mode?

“For me, stress relief is more about relaxing – when I want to recharge my batteries, I find relaxation in embroidery, enjoying a good cup of tea and watching an interesting crime series. I've created many beautiful cross-stitch pictures this way – even if it means I have less time for sports, the green tea still helps me recharge my batteries!”

“My entry into the debt collection industry was rather coincidental, but at coeo, I have purposefully developed my career over the years and developed a clear strategy. Today, I am following my path with firm goals in mind and a clear vision for the future.”

“I rely on multitasking for everyday tasks in order to coordinate several things at once and work efficiently. However, when it comes to complex projects, I set clear focus times to ensure the necessary depth and concentration and achieve the best results.”
