In short Business Rap we meet Viktoria Belik, Key Account and Partner Manager, Team Lead International Collection at coeo AT. Ten quick questions that give us an insight into her life.
Customer meetings:
In person on site or remotely via video?
Both
“In my experience, a good mix of both works best. Face-to-face meetings
are particularly good for deepening relationships or discussing strategic issues.
Remote conversations, on the other hand, are ideal for quick, efficient coordination in everyday life, so that you
always remain easily accessible for the customer.”
International cooperation:
Local expertise or centrally controlled processes?
Local expertise
“We are clearly committed to local expertise because, as a national debt collection agency, we know how
crucial it is to understand the local legal and cultural conditions. We have tried centralised management, but working with strong local partners has proven to be
much more efficient and effective.”
Customer loyalty:
Long-term partnership or project-based collaboration?
Long-term partnership
“For me, long-term partnerships are key because they are based on trust and continuity
and enable us to develop tailor-made solutions. As a Key Account
Manager, I am particularly pleased to see how successfully our long-standing customers have developed
over the years – and I am proud that our company is able to contribute to this.”
Key Account Management:
Driven by numbers or focused on relationships?
Relationship-oriented
“In both of my roles – as Key Account and Partner Manager – relationships are clearly at the forefront.
Reliable partnerships are built on trust, open communication, and a genuine understanding of the customer's needs – and that's exactly what ultimately leads to the best results.”
“I enjoy the variety of my work and the fact that I can contribute my own ideas and experience. I'm always looking for new ways to achieve our goals and am happy to take on new challenges.”
Leadership style:
Encourage or demand?
Both
“I combine encouragement and challenge by assigning tasks according to the strengths of the team, setting clear
goals, and at the same time allowing plenty of freedom in how they are implemented. I actively encourage my team to
help shape processes and contribute their own suggestions for improvement.”
Decision-making:
Data-driven or gut instinct?
Data-driven
“I make decisions based primarily on data, because sound information is an
important foundation—especially in international receivables management. Nevertheless,
when it comes to new partnerships and strategic issues, I also rely on my experience from around
eight years in the debt collection industry—especially when no reliable data is (yet) available.”
Error culture:
Share transparently or process internally?
Share transparently
“For me, dealing with mistakes in a constructive and transparent way is an important source of knowledge for
improvements. I am transparent when communicating mistakes and, at the same time, clear and
consistent in presenting corrective measures and the lessons learned.
In the team, I encourage people to share their mistakes openly so that everyone can learn from them.”
Stress reduction:
Sports or relaxation mode?
Relaxation mode
“For me, stress relief is more about relaxing – when I want to recharge my batteries,
I find relaxation in embroidery, enjoying a good cup of tea and watching an
interesting crime series. I've created many beautiful cross-stitch pictures this way – even if it
means I have less time for sports, the green tea still helps me recharge my batteries!”
Career path:
Coincidence or clear strategy?
Clear strategy
“My entry into the debt collection industry was rather coincidental, but at coeo, I have
purposefully developed my career over the years and developed a clear strategy. Today, I am following my path
with firm goals in mind and a clear vision for the future.”
Working mode:
Focus time or multitasking?
Both
“I rely on multitasking for everyday tasks in order to coordinate several things at once
and work efficiently. However, when it comes to complex projects, I set clear focus times to
ensure the necessary depth and concentration and achieve the best results.”
