Dr. Rainer Demski

Dr. Rainer Demski studied History, German Philology, Literary Studies, Political Science, and Sports Science at the University of Kiel. He earned his doctorate in Medieval and Modern History with the distinction magna cum laude. During and after his studies, he worked as a correspondent and freelance journalist for the German Press Agency (dpa) as well as for various newspaper publishers. Following his academic career, he worked as an editor, later becoming editorial director and head of marketing at the Schleswig-Holsteinischer Zeitungsverlag. He subsequently held the position of project manager at the internet startup OK-onlinekaufen.de GmbH.

At the turn of the millennium, he transitioned into self-employment, founding and managing several digital media companies as CEO and board member, with a focus on e-commerce, retail, telecommunications, and finance. In 2016, he co-founded NewFinance Mediengesellschaft mbH together with Karin Fitzka, a company specializing in digital and hybrid B2B communication within the financial and insurance sectors. In this context, he also serves as editor-in-chief and moderator.
