Ingolf Putzbach

Cleo & You GmbH was founded in 2023 as a subsidiary of Uelzener Versicherungen and with the participation of You Are We GmbH in Hamburg. As an independent brand within the Uelzener affiliated companies, its aim is to complement the pet insurance market with Cleo’s world of needs-oriented products and to offer pet owners an insurance experience that is as unique as their pet.

Ingolf Putzbach is a managing director and entrepreneur with a focus on the insurance and InsurTech sector. He has been managing Cleo & You GmbH, a pet insurance company, since June 2023. Previously, he was Managing Director of You Are We GmbH and consulted on digital business models.

He has been a board member of the Digital Insurance & InsurTech working group of BITKOM e.V. since October 2020. From 2020 to 2022, he was Managing Director of Sapiens Deutschland GmbH and was responsible for the DACH region. Prior to that, he successfully managed InsurTech sum.cumo from 2016 to 2019 until its sale to Sapiens.

He founded Pangaea Life and Bayerische Online-Versicherungsagentur und -Marketing GmbH. He began his career as founder and CEO of Arkwright Consulting AG.

Ingolf Putzbach has a degree in engineering and combines technical knowledge with an understanding of business management. He is a driving force in the further development of the insurance industry.
